Why Did You Want to Become a Dentist?
When Dr. Sanders was in the sixth grade, she fell and hit her face hard on a counter, which knocked out one of her permanent central incisors. Thankfully, her pediatric dentist was able to put the tooth back into place and splint it with braces. That experience led to her becoming interested in the field of dentistry for the first time – and the rest is history!
Where Did You
Study Dentistry?
Dr. Sanders’ college career started at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, where she majored in neuropsychology. Following graduation, she pursued her dental doctorate at Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, OH. She decided to complete a one-year General Practice Residency as well at the University of Massachusetts. Once her residency was over, she joined the National Health Service Corps and spent seven years practicing public health dentistry in Worcester, MA before settling in at Hanover Road Dental Health.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Sanders and her husband, Rambert, met in Worcester while she was a resident at a federally funded health center. Today, they have three young children together. Outside of the dental Office, one of her biggest passions is Disney – in fact, she got married at Disney World! The family continues to travel there as much as time and money will allow. She also really enjoys swimming.
